RAM4000 PinSmart II Fully Automated Twistlock Handling Machine
‘PinSmart II’ is our new, fully automated twistlock handling machine.
Manufactured from high-quality steel and components as the conventional RAM Spreaders, PinSmart II is crane platform mounted and fully automates the removal of all types of twistlock, automating and moving the hazardous task of twistlock handling away from the quayside for safe and fast operation.
Designed to handle single 20 to 45ft ISO containers or two 20ft ISO containers, the RAM PinSmart II machine reduces the risk of injuries, improves productivity and reduces the cost by fully automating the removal of twistlocks.
The steel platform construction of PinSmart II is designed to support up to 80 tonnes and is shock damped to reduce impact, noise and shock transfer.
Gather guides located at the end of the machine guide the container(s) into position, allowing the robotic arms to then remove or replace the container’s twistlock cones. *PinSmart II can be supplied with up to 4 robotic arms per machine depending on customer requirements. The more arms reduce the removal/replacement twistlock cone cycle time.
The twistlock cones are taken to or fed from the large-capacity storage racks capable of storing up to 2,000 twistlock cones.
The intelligent control system of PinSmart II memorizes each twistlock type and its exact position in the storage rack, allowing it to work with multiple vessel types throughout the day and night.
Power for PinSmart II is via a simple plug-in power supply taken from the quay crane.
All RAM spreaders are manufactured at our purpose built production facility in accordance with ISO 9001:2008:2008, ISO 14001;2004 and DIN 18800-7 welding standard.
All spreaders are fully load tested, function tested and are delivered together with operation and maintenance manuals and associated certification.
All RAM Spreader products are supplied with full equipment warranty.
PinSmart II has a basic plug in power supply taken from the quay cane.
PinSmart II is fixed to the crane to remove the twistlock handling operations from the lane.
