Visit RAM at the 18th Intermodal Africa Exhibition| Ivory Coast | 22 – 23rd November 2017

RAM Spreaders, a world leading spreader supplier for container handling and bulk cargo with over 40 years in the industry, is building a solid and broad foundation based on trust in Africa with terminal operators, logistics providers and cargo owners.

This year, Transport Events Intermodal Africa will take place in Abidjan on the Ivory Coast at the Radisson Blu Hotel.  The port of Abidjan is Africa’s biggest and most modern ports with a central location and a well developed infrastructure.

RAM Spreaders, who are an established supplier of spreaders and bulk handling machines in Africa are looking forward to visiting the exhibition in Abidjan and Frank van Laarhoven, RAM’s Senior Sales Manager will be delivering a talk on the benefits of containerised bulk handling.

Frank will be demonstrating the environmental impact of current bulk handling methods and reveal the benefits and cost effectiveness of the CBH system, with various case studies from ports and terminals who are already using the CBH system with the RAM Revolver who are seeing the benefits of this environmentally innovative bulk handling system.

In the run up to the event, Frank explains “It is a great opportunity for me to be able demonstrate to the people of Abidjan and surrounding locations, that the future of bulk handling relies upon new innovations that are also cost effective and meet new environmental guidelines”.

Frank further explained “The fact that the CBH system has already been in operation in locations close to residential areas without any environmental impact, is what makes this system unique, innovative and cost effective; and will no doubt pave the way for future bulk handling operations in Africa.

RAM gives talk at TOC Americas 2017 Bulk Conference

The talk delivered by RAM’s Regional Manager for Latin America, Johnny Medranda centred on the future sustainability of current bulk handling logistic practices, when complying with increasingly stringent environmental issues and financial considerations; and demonstrated an award winning turnkey solution called “Containerised Bulk Handling”.

Recently a container terminal was able to increase its business by injecting >25% more container volume by loading copper concentrate.  One of the reasons for the switch to the CBH system was the benefit to the mining company of a zero loss system with no dust.
