Continuing its growth in the Middle East, RAM Spreaders has recently secured an order from a new customer in Egypt. DIPCO through KGL PI as manager has selected 18 units of RAM Model 2940 "CenterSpread" separating twin lift telescoping spreaders for ship to shore cranes, 4 units RAM Model 2220 telescopic overheight spreaders with automatic latching and 35 RAM Model 3540 All Electric 20ft/40ft/45ft telescopic spreaders with fixed guides for rubber tyred gantry cranes for the first phase of it's new development at Damietta International Port (DIP).

DIPCO through KGL PI as manager is a company that aims to operate sea ports and provide a complete range of port services in the GCC countries, MENA region and on a global scale. They signed agreement in May 2006, with Damietta Port Authority (DPA) a 40-year concession to develop a new container terminal in the port. Under the terms of the agreement, DIPCO through KGL PI as manager will design, build, finance and operate the new facility. The project which will occupy approximately 130 hectares of land at the port and will be developed in two phases to include the construction of new quay walls and container stacking areas in order to service large Super Post Panamax ships.
